Visual Blogging 1: Metaphor

The watch/clock and wing components of this image are visually arranged as a balanced, flowing grouping and, thus, the composition appears sound. The components are visually balanced both stylistically and are of even line weight. Conceptually, the components are visually combined so as to easily lead the viewer’s thought process to decode that “time flies”. The abstract, seemingly unrelated components combine visually to successfully suggest the final phrase.
